Since 1991, Aurora Healing Arts has provided holistic support for women and their partners seeking natural care on their journey to create family. Founder, Rachel Koenig, L.ac, directly apprenticed with Jeffrey Yuen, a Taoist Priest in the Jade Purity Tradition, as well as De Ying Huang and Dr Michael Smith. She has worked in close collaboration with patients undergoing fertility treatments with outstanding New York physicians and fertility clinics. In 1999 she was given the opportunity to study and become certified in Pediatric Acupuncture with Julian Scott and Teresa Barlow, world renown for their clinical knowledge and holistic care of infants and children. From that time she has treated children in collaboration with their pediatricians for numerous conditions ranging from common childhood complaints (chronic ear infection, tonsillitis, teething, skin problems, asthma) and behavior issues (separation, anxiety, sleep disorders, attention deficit, sensory issues) to autoimmune disease. She enjoys mentoring students of eastern and of western medicine, and has taught at the New York Open Center and at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine.
